There are only 2 days until the Kalista Chronicles, book 3: A Broken Redeemer comes out! I am so excited and a bit disappointed just because there hasn’t been as many preorders for it. I think it’s just the time of year… or I put too many books out in one year… but there’s still one to go! (>_<)
Author's Life:
This week was quiet, and I’m so glad for that. I did go back over to My mom’s Hobby retreat Tuesday with the new book (A Broken Redeemer), and slightly damaged copies both Haunted Angel and Discord’s Nightmare. Again, I went with books and came home with none. A special thank you to Cathy for taking the slightly damaged copies that I don’t like selling (^_^;), and for being so excited about having an early copy of A Broken Redeemer. That gave me a much needed boost in morale due to low pre-order sales.
Then I posted the last NaNoWriMo blog on Wednesday talking about the last 9 years of NaNoWriMo then did sooo much editing…
Writing & Editing:
On that note, I’ve finished editing Cry Havoc! At least self-edits, now it’s time for the read aloud edits before I chunk it up and send the first bit to my editor. Except, that I need to finish writing the Epilogue. It was a last minute addition and I changed it like 3 times before I even started writing it. I felt like one last thing needed to be neatly wrapped up, and it will be, just in time for NaNoWriMo in 5 days! I’m having a hard time wait for Wednesday!
Publishing:
As I said in the Intro, A Broken Redeemer is 2 days from release!! and all I’m missing to start packing paperback preorders is the other art prints from CatPrint, which I approved yesterday so they should be here in a few days! I’m both excited and a bit hesitant about the Christmas Preorders (which start the 5th) due to the lack of preorders for the Broken Redeemer, which is the book before it. I’ve only had 7 preorders and, though I’m grateful for them, I’m overthinking it since I've consistently had close to twenty preorders for all my books. (-_-) Enough of that... here's the art I promised.
Art Feature:
Two weeks ago, I said I’d show you the cover of the Christmas book early, so here you go. Here is the cover art for the Christmas book, but without the title or the wording so that it doesn’t spoil the reveal on Thursday. (-_^) This is Kalista and Beryx's first Christmas together.
