I’m getting back into the swing of things... mostly. The last few weeks have been hazy, painful, and honestly hard, but I’m back from burn out and publishing depression. Writing, Art, and good friends have pulled me out the other side (most without even knowing it).
Author's Life:
I'm honestly feeling better. Between writing, I managed to get some of the house tidied, help my mom set up my grandmother’s new phone, and today I will make deviled eggs for our Easter Dinner with family tomorrow.
I do need to get into a dentist this week though. One of my back molars is literally falling apart. Idk what I did to it, but it doesn’t hurt, so I’ve not been yet, but now it’s causing other issues. So, I have to find a dentist who will pull it and is covered by my insurance, which is hard. Ugh!
The work Life:
Writing:
I’m still working on the WIP featuring Miseria Mortem, which will come out in 2029. It was at 25,866 and it’s now at 40,000! Which is a gain of 14,134 words not bad. I did a lot of editing of it this week, which is normal when I cross the 30k threshold. It helps me refocus and get things squared away.
Editing:
Maxine is now on chunk 3 of 4 for An Angel Falls! She’s loving it and I’m loving her comments!
Publishing:
Kalista Chronicles Omnibus comes out June 8th! It’s already up for eBook pre order on Amazon, Libby, and all the rest too! If you’d like to ARC read it, There is a form over on the books page. Please read the Trigger warnings and blurb before you fill out the form.
As a reminder, the physical copies will be available for Pre Order on Thursday, May 1st. This will just be the omnibus and a bookmark. No T-shirt, hoodie, or extras. The book is HUGE, and will be a bit more expensive because of this. Paperbacks will be $30 and Hardcovers $35 (+$10 shipping) again, because they are just THAT big.
Art Feature:
This week’s art feature is a character I was having fun with, Badb (pronounced Bov) leaning on a pillar in the tunnels under Lucifer's mansion. Badb is a background character in The Haunted Angel(2023) and The Fated Angel (2027). She’s a Born Angel of Death and the Heir of Aeronwen "Ronnie" Bhanríon, who is featured in several of the Created Angel Chronicles. Badb will eventually get her own book (and possibly Ronnie too). They’re on the list of books I want to write.
