Weekly Newsletter 121: November 30

       The first half of this week went by far too fast. I wrote a bunch on Sunday and Monday, then not a lot Tuesday as I was doing prep for Thursday, which was Thanksgiving, and Wednesday/Thursday were null as I was making and baking apple pie, then gaming.😅I spent a lot of time gaming the last few days as a reward for nearly getting done with the book, and a way to relax before Snowmageddon 2024.

       What is Snowmageddon 2024? It’s a 72-96 hour event where everything east of Lake Erie from Cleavland OH all the way up past Buffalo NY are going to get hammered by snow. Some may not get even an inch, but where we live—As of writing this (Friday 8pm)—has gotten about 20 inches of snowfall and the local meteorologists predict upwards of 50 inches before the end of Sunday/Monday.

      For me, This means that I am refusing to leave the house/town until it clears. It’s just not safe. The interstates have shut down from Erie PA all the way to Dunkirk NY and will probably shut down all the way into Hamburg Saturday or Sunday. I just hope that everything gets cleared up by Wednesday as my dad and I are going to see TSO (Trans-Siberian Orchestra) on the 4th! Enough about that, onto the writing!

     “When? How?” I asked, looking from my gaming studio to him.

     “I saw your luggage in the hotel when I talked to the manager and the cheating git,” he reminded me, and tears burned my eyes. “So, I decided to use my nervous energy to do something productive and— what’s wrong?” he stopped himself as I looked up at the ceiling, blinking rapidly to stop the tears from falling.

     “They’re happy tears,” I whispered as I lifted my hands to cover my mouth. “I-I’ve never had anybody care this much...”
