Weekly Newsletter 122: December 7

Published on 7 December 2024 at 00:36

It’s December, and I can’t be the only one who feels like last four months went by at 2x speed. I finished my WIP, Started another, and I’ve been brainstorming with my Manager about book covers for the Kalista books for next year (we still haven't picked one)!

Author's Life:

Firstly, Trans-Siberian Orchestra was AMAZING! As usual! This year is their 25th year on tour and they performed The Lost Christmas Eve, and I cried. I have loved that album and have listened to the narrated version at least 5 times since it came out. The story is so moving πŸ₯Ή

If you’re wondering how Snowmageddon has gone, we’ve had about 32” of snow fall and have 28” of snow on the ground. The discrepancy comes from blowing snow and snow that has melted and compacted. We got 6 inches today alone and are set to get another 4-8 today. Then there’s a warmup for the weekend, and another drop happening after that, which means there will be ice under the snow. Not good. Not good at all.

NOW, for the good news!

Writing & Editing:

My November Novel, “the Legacy of Her Mother,” is FINISHED at 88,600 words! There is the potential for an Epilogue, which I wrote notes for. I’m going to leave it as is for now, and get back to the other projects I’m working on.

I took a day or two of a break, then started working on the short story for the Kalista Chronicles Omnibus (Part 1) that I announced last week. I’ll be revealing the title in January, around the 12th. I’ve not written enough of it to know if it’s where I want to share, so I’m gonna be all sneaky and not. πŸ˜‰

Announcement!!!

This coming Summer I will be publishing an Omnibus of the Kalista Chronicles that will be STRICTLY Kindle University (for eBooks) and on Amazon. It will contain A Born Angel, A Brave Sacrifice, and A Broken Redeemer, which, fun fact, was going to be one book when I started writing.

It will also include:
πŸ’œ Artwork in between each book
       πŸ’œ A NEW short story between books 2 & 3
       πŸ’œ NEW Cover art!
✨ Title to be revealed in January!

I've extended the FREE eBook sale through the end of December, both for the Holidays, and for my birthday (which is the 17th).

Art Feature:

Since it is December, I started doing more Christmas art, and I’ve been meaning to redo a picture I made of Kalista kissing Beryx who is dressed as Santa Clause back in November of 2017. I got the idea while listening to a Christmas playlist and hearing “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Clause.” So, here is the update. If you want to see the original CLICK HERE:

Thanks for reading!
