Weekly Newsletter 125: December 28

Author's Life:

        Therapy for the carpal tunnel and gamers thumb is going well, and it’s helping with some of the pain, but not all of it or not all the places it hurts. 🥺 I see an MRI in my future… but until then I have several weeks of Physical Therapy still and then probably in mid-January I’ll have to do that. For now, writing up a storm and working on getting the books ready!

2024 in Writing, Formatting, & Editing:

     I wrote:

• An Angel Falls (Halloween 2025)
• The Legacy of Her Mother
• Mutiny of a Bounty Hunter (Short story in Where Myths Walk)
• Nike (Short Story: Anthology will release in January)
• The Mountain Guardian (Short Story in With Love Appalachia)
• The Deadly Sirens (Unfinished as of this Newsletter...)

     I also finished editing An Angel Ensnared, rewrote Chaos Theory, and edited all 8 of my books that were released prior to this year!

     For releases this year, I had Cry Havoc in April, then the 8 new book covers in July/August, and An Angel Ensnared in October.

Writing:

     This week, the Deadly Sirens (the sixth book in the Created Angel Novels/Chronicles series), went from 52,024 to 73,420, which is a gain of 21,396 words 😱 I did not realize I got that many done! I'm not even 3/4 of the way through the book yet... It gonna be BIG!

     For the YEAR, I wrote a total of 354,686 words over 5 stories–3 of which aren't finished– and 3 short stories.

• Kalista Chronicles, Book 6: An Angel Falls

  • May 1^st:
    Beta signups will open. They close June 8^th.
  • June 1:
    Cover Reveal! 
  • June 13-July 11^th:
    Beta Reading! It has 26 chapters, and 121,385 words, so it will be broken up into 4 chunks of 7 chapter given over 4 weeks (to the Discord server).
  • July 31^st:
    Preorders will begin for Kindle versions.
  • August 18^th:
    ARC Signups open. They close on September 19^th. The Arcs will go out on September 31^st!
  • September 1^st
    Physical preorders begin. They will end October 1^st for hardcover and October 13^th for paperback.
  • Halloween:
    BOOK DAY!!!
• Deadly Sirens: Created Angel Novels, book 6
  • August 18^th
    Beta signups begin, they end September 19^th. I’m not yet finished writing it so I will update the how many chapters per chunk and final word count when I get that far.
  • September 26^th
    Beta reading starts and will end on Halloween.
  • January 1^st 2026
    ARC Signups open.

Special Book Trailer!

     This trailer took me not just the 3.5 hours to put together, but I wrote the song you here in the background. It is Chaos’s Death Song, and was written specifically for this book. There are twice that she sings it, changing the lyrics slightly, so sometime I will have to add the words too. I gave my friend AJ the recording I made humming it, and he used his music program to orchestrate the rest. It came out so beautifully! 🥰

   One Amendment: The ARC Signups Open January 1st not today. Just couldn't wait to give you all a preview. 😉
