Well, that first full week of the year was a doozy. The world is a mess and so was my health, which meant I was doing a lot of avoiding the outside world and focusing on my books, promoting, and wishing I could do something about the state of the world, while knowing I’m doing all I can. 🥺
Author's Life:
I’ve “Graduated” physical therapy, and was recommended to the Orthopaedic as I may actually have a broken bone that wasn’t seen on the original X-ray. I’m going to be calling them on Monday to get an appointment. The meds for the uterus are working now… hope they keep working and don’t mess me up again next month. 🙄 We shall see. Nothing much else to report life/health wise, other than I’ve been a bit depressed, anxious, and stressed due to the state of the world. American politics/economics, and my body.
The work Life:
Writing:
This week, I wrote 3,345 words which might end up as the prologue for Kalista book 7. I’m not sure yet, but I got inspiration for it from the song “Devil Doesn’t Bargain” by Alec Benjamin. It was random, and I just let my muse do her work. Yes, I am thinking about that book already 😉
I also did a LOT of writing in Deadly Sirens! Last word count was 77,000 words and this week—as of Friday night—The count was 98,100 words! Which is a gain of 21,100 words. The book is 80% done, I think. That makes a total of 24,445 words done this week. 😱
Formatting & Editing:
In editing, Chaos Theory was done last week, and Thursday night I edited 5 chapters of An Angel Falls, which is one fifth of the book. It didn’t need much work, which I’m happy about, but there was still a few things. I’m also working on formatting/editing the Omnibus, The Devil’s Daughter. I’m about 25% done on that one.
Special Feature:
Last week, I mentioned getting the Hardcover proof copy of Chaos Theory in. It came in on Wednesday and it's too beautiful not to show off!

This weeks art feature are 3 of 9 pictures that I created for a TikTok video/Instagram Reel this week where Chaos transforms from her alias Roxanne to her full Angelic form in 22s. If you haven’t seen it, you should go and look it up. I put in a lot of work on it and wrote/edited in between, but it hasn’t gotten a lot of likes/comments on any platform, which is sadly normal🙄.
