Weekly Newsletter 132: February 15

Published on 15 February 2025 at 00:01

I’ve had this “I’m forgetting something” feeling all week. BUT Chaos Theory Pre order has begun! And the ARC sign up closed yesterday. I’m a bit depressed about that, hoping the sales do better. Also, Another longer snippet of Chaos at the end!

Author's Life:

This week has been more laid back, quiet, and restful… mostly. I did have a few computer issues that made me want to yeet the computer again. Though, it looks like I’m going to need to replace the RAM. This is only made possible by a friend who has commissioned a few art pieces from me this week. (Thank you, Slade.)

Also, a special shout out to Patrick Attaway, an author and podcaster friend of mine. I've been following him since way back in like 2015/16 when I first started my author twitter account. We now follow each other on Bluesky, and he made my day by buying the entire Created Angel Chronicles and A Born Angel on Amazon last night. I needed that win. It's the first sale on Amazon since Jan 13th. 🥲

The work Life:

Writing:

Writing was slow this week, and I did focus on mostly editing this week. However, I did write a good 6k words across 2 books. Kalista Book 7 and A different Born Angel Novel which comes after Fated Angel

Editing Formatting:

Fated Angel is now edited, and shall sit until next year.

I have finished An Angel Falls red pen edits and inputted them all in one 7 hour night! I’ve also now edited another 10 chapters of the Omnibus too! I’m on track to having them both where they need to be by the end of the month!

Reminder: Cover Reveal for the Omnibus is March 1st!

The Cover!

Bringing Back the Limited Tee!

Signed Copy Pre Orders of Chaos Theory have started and I currently have 1! Thank you, Aunt Denise, for being a fan of my books and continually being here to support them!

I also added the Limited Edition Chaos Theory Label Tee on top of the Book + which comes with a T-shirt too. The Chaos Theory Label tee was also offered through the Discord’s Nightmare book box because in July of 2023 as she is pictured holding a bottle of it.

I only had 4 readers sign up for the Advanced Reader Copies… So, I’m hoping there are more Signed Copy pre orders than that. But with the economy the way it is, I’m keeping the bar low, since it’s been up on Amazon (and other places) for 6 weeks and only has 1 pre order on Amazon…

Just the Books

Book+ comes with all seen

Or Preorder It elsewhere!

Art Feature:

For this week, we have a picture that comes from Chapter 2 of Chaos Theory and is an old picture that I recolored as it was very dark. Yes, we’re going way back to the beginning of the book to a scene I loved so much that I rendered it while writing it back in 2020. 😈 The threatening of an Antagonist is always one of my favorite things, even when it’s in a “realm walking dream.” (snippet Below)

Chapter 2 Snippet:

At the thought, the scene changed. I stood in my bedroom in that fortress. My past self was asleep on the bed, unaware that anything was amiss, but a female form stood over her, weaving a spell as she slept.

I leapt over the bed at the Fœmoræ (corrupted Angel) I nicknamed Goldilocks and caught her around the waist. I rode her to the stone floor and pinned her beneath me. She stared up at me, her golden eyes thrown wide with shock and fear. The Maker’s Holy Fire burned in my chest and my hair lifted from my back, floating as if it were living flame. It glowed, illuminating the scene around me.

“You will not lay your filthy hands on her, Aurelia. You will leave this room and never return to it,” I growled at her, using her Angelic name like I hadn’t done since I escaped her six thousand, nine hundred, and six years ago. Her pupils dilated as the command sunk home, and I realized just how tainted she was, even back then. My form on the bed stirred, and my hair dimmed.

When she was asleep again, I looked down at Aurelia, the Witch, Midas’ Love, the Bitchtress, Goldilocks… She stared at me wide eyed and panicked. She looked from me to the bed and back, unsure that she wasn’t dreaming.

“How can you be here and there?” she asked. I grinned down at her. I had the upper hand. I leaned in close enough to smell the daffodil, honey, and cream of her skin. The smell, that once sent me into a panic attack, now empowered me.

“Do not underestimate me, Akramatha (Vile betrayer, feminine). If you hurt me and mine, I will see you killed. I don’t care how much he loves you. You will stay away from him, or I will cut you from navel,” I said, resting my index finger on the dimple at the top of her pierced belly button, “to ribcage.” I drew a line up her bare stomach to the bottom of her ribs. “Then I will use your guts for garters and dance on your bones,” I threatened, and her pupils shrunk to slits. She growled, and I extended my black iron talon over my fingernail until it bit into her skin.

Before I could draw blood, the doors to my room flew open…

Thanks for reading!
