Author's Life:

      Right out the gate, this week was "ugh." Sunday, my laptop charger was acting up. Monday, I overdid it cleaning the living room: breaking down the mountain of boxes, putting clothes where they belong, and reorganizing the packaging things for shipping books. That took 4 hours and my body hated me for the next 3 days. Tuesday, I woke up with a migraine, my laptop charger refused to work, and I found that the cord had a fray in it🙃. It looks like it got caught in the recliner footstool closure. I ordered a new one and it arrived yesterday. So, we’re back to working order again.

     Because the laptop was out of commission, I was using the desktop for more than art. So, Tuesday, I decided to update the Nvidia app and graphics (which has regular updates). It acted fine Tuesday night, was able to get art going, but it bluescreened overnight. I woke up to it still at 0% fixed after the bluescreen. Come to find that the update nearly crippled my computer, and it has been that way for 4 of 5 people that try to update. Wednesday morning, It took Matt and I 1.5 hours to fix it, so it was useable again as I needed to write and edit on it. I also had a migraine too and spiraled badly, if you saw my social media posts, it was a bad day.

    Thursday I had an early appointment, then went live on TT with my author friends, and worked on Edits of An Angel Falls, then went Matt got up, I went to the desktop and worked on art plus edited Fated Angel.

     Friday was a mostly good day… Bad news first: my Papa has covid and is being hospitalized as he's quite weak and fell yesterday. 🥺 We’re all wondering where he picked it up and hoping he’ll kick it. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers.

      The good news Errands went smoothly, I had a story piece come to me in the morning, I was adjusted at the Chiropractor (which will help the migraines), AND The Chaos Tee Shirts came in! I love them so much! You can get yours in the book box pre order which begins on Valentine’s Day!

Writing:

    I’ve not done any writing this week, as I’ve been focused on editing, art, and computer issues. But I did a lot of editing!

Formatting & Editing:

      Fated Angel is all edited, and I added 1,600 words to it. I am going to be reading Matt chapters 21-33 over the weekend, so it may have yet more words added to it.

      I am on Chapter 18 of 26 for An Angel Falls red pen edits, which is 8 more chapters than last I updated. I’ve not touched Omnibus, The Devil’s Daughter though… I’m hoping to finish An Angel Falls this week and get the edits in so I can send the book to Matt to look over before I get it printed for my dad. Then I can work on the Omnibus this week.

     For this week, we have a picture that comes from Chapter 12 of Chaos Theory and from Kotys’s perspective as Chaos, Discord, and Zam (offscreen in this moment) are in the kitchen making breakfast. Snippet below!

Chapter 12 Snippet:

      “I’m going to wake the girls,” Zamina said, disappearing through the archway. Kotys waited until her footsteps were in the upstairs hall before locking eyes with me.

      “Now that she’s gone, who were you talking to?” she asked. I lifted an eyebrow as Discord handed me a plate, but I didn’t take my eyes off my adopted daughter.

      “An Agent from overseas. Maker’s love, it’s like you can’t tell when I’m lying to you,” I poked her ego, and she straightened.

       “I can too,” she said, before stuffing a bite of the crêpe in her mouth. I turned and grabbed the tin of muffins then finished the turn and held them toward her.

        “Muffin?” I offered. She glared at me as if that would break me. I shrugged and set the tin beside the stove top then turned to the oven near the fridge to check on the caramelizing toppings.

       “If you won’t tell me about the call, then tell me who you were singing about last night,” she bargained. I pulled the bacon from the oven and set it next to the pan. I slid my arm along Discord’s back and met her eyes again. There was a gleam in her eye that said she was about to throw Koty off her game.

       “Koty, you’re a Born Angel of Love. If you can’t tell who she’s in love with, you need to exercise your metaphysical muscles more,” Discord said and pecked my cheek. Kotys grumbled about something under her breath, and I was once again glad to have Discord in town.
